Trump, Vance, AOC all underwater in favorability poll

Americans delivered poor ratings on President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) in a new poll.

The new Marquette Law School poll, released Tuesday, asked respondents whether they had favorable or unfavorable views of prominent Republicans, Democrats and political movements like MAGA and democratic socialism. The poll showed that none of the politicians received a positive net favorability rating.

The poll asked Americans about whether they had favorable views of four Republicans and four Democrats.

Here are the net favorability ratings for Republicans:

Donald Trump: Has a net favorability rating of -22 percentage points, with 38% having a favorable view and 60% having an unfavorable view.

JD Vance: Has a net favorability rating of -16 percentage points, with 38% having a favorable view and 54% having an unfavorable view.

Marco Rubio: Has a net favorability rating of -11 percentage points, with 34% having a favorable view and 45% having an unfavorable view.

Pete Hegseth: Has a net favorability rating of -22 percentage points, with 23% having a favorable view and 45% having an unfavorable view.

Here are the net favorability ratings for Democrats:

Bernie Sanders: Has a net favorability rating of -2 percentage points, with 45% having a favorable view and 47% having an unfavorable view.

Zohran Mamdani: Has a net favorability rating of -6 percentage points, with 33% having a favorable view and 39% having an unfavorable view.

Pete Buttigieg: Has a net favorability rating of -10 percentage points, with 27% having a favorable view and 37% having an unfavorable view.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Has a net favorability rating of -11 percentage points, with 32% having a favorable view and 43% having an unfavorable view.

It also found negative net favorability ratings for the MAGA movement and for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). MAGA had a net favorability rating of -26 percentage points, while DSA had a net favorability rating of -30 percentage points.

The poll was conducted among 1,076 adults between July 22 and July 29. There’s a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points.
