AP Decision Notes: What to expect in Indiana's state primaries

President Donald Trump is waging a retribution campaign against some fellow Republicans in the primary in Indiana. Seven GOP state senators who blocked Trump's push to redraw the state’s congressional districts now face primary challengers endorsed by him. It's the latest development in a redistricting saga that began last year when Trump urged state GOP lawmakers to redraw their congressional maps to help the party maintain control of the narrowly divided U.S. House. André Carson, D-Indianapolis, was divided into four sections, with the majority of Marion County split into the districts held by U.S. Rep. Jefferson Shreve, R-Indianapolis, and U.S. Rep. Erin Houchin, R-Salem.

Democratic divisions over Israel break into the open as conflict escalates

The debate over Israel’s conduct in its war against Hamas is exposing deep tensions in the House Democratic Caucus as Rep. Andre Carson called fellow Democrat Josh Gottheimer a “punk” and a “coward” and that the two “could get into something else” after they disagreed over a measure aimed at showing support for Israel.
