Trump Endorses Barry Moore in Alabama Senate Race

President Donald Trump on Thursday endorsed Rep. Barry Moore in Alabama's U.S. Senate race, calling the congressman a "totally reliable MAGA Warrior" and praising him as one of his "all time favorites."

Trump announced his backing of Moore in a post on Truth Social, offering the influential endorsement as Republicans prepare for what is expected to be a closely watched Senate contest in the deep-red state.

"Barry Moore, running for United States Senate in the GREAT State of Alabama, one of my all time favorites, is a Fantastic guy and a totally reliable MAGA Warrior!" Trump wrote. "He has my Complete and Total Endorsement - He will never let you down."

Trump's endorsement is likely to give Moore a major boost among Alabama Republicans, where the former president remains overwhelmingly popular and continues to wield significant influence in GOP primaries.

Moore, who currently represents Alabama's 1st Congressional District, has aligned himself closely with Trump and the America First movement during his time in Congress.

He has consistently supported Trump-backed policies on immigration, energy production, and government spending while positioning himself as a staunch conservative voice in Washington.

The endorsement could prove pivotal in consolidating support among conservative voters and donors ahead of the Republican primary. In Alabama, Trump's backing has historically carried considerable weight, with endorsed candidates often gaining momentum quickly in crowded GOP fields.

Moore responded positively to the endorsement, signaling gratitude for Trump's support as he seeks to advance to the Senate.

"Grateful to President @realDonaldTrump for his unwavering support in our race for the U.S. Senate!" he said.

"I'm proud to be the only candidate in this race with the President's complete and total endorsement. I've stood with him since day one, and he's standing with us as we run through the tape on May 19!"

The Alabama Senate race is expected to draw national attention as Republicans look to maintain their strength in the state while competing for control of the Senate in the 2026 election cycle.

Trump has increasingly stepped into Republican primaries across the country, using endorsements to shape the GOP field and reward candidates who have remained loyal to him politically. His endorsements have become a central factor in many Republican races, particularly in conservative states such as Alabama.

Moore first entered Congress after winning election in 2020 and has since cultivated a reputation as one of the more outspoken conservative members of the House Republican conference.
