A new poll finds that a frontrunner in Alabama’s competitive U.S. Senate race, Rep. Barry Moore, holds on to a lead as he heads ot the runoff.
Moore, a Republican, finished first in primary results over Jared Hudson, a former Navy SEAL and Jefferson County sheriff’s candidate.
The poll conducted on behalf of the Club for Growth Action says he has a solid lead among likely Republican voters.
The national PAC has supported Moore and spent $5,000 so far this year directly to support him.
According to the results, collected before the May 19 primary,
53% of respondents said they would vote for Moore, and
36% said they would vote for Hudson.
The runoff is scheduled for June 16, 2026. The Republican winner will face the winner of the Democratic runoff in November.
