Letters: Sen. Cassidy can still redeem himself
Sen. Bill Cassidy is a lame duck, but he has eight months left as our senator. He has a chance to redeem himself, and I wonder if he will use his power to push for rational health policies. He could get Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a contempt citation or even push to impeach and remove him from office.
And then after the Senate, he could make easy money joining corporate boards, or he could do something meaningful, using his expertise and D.C. insider status. Redemption over revenge.
And as to his inner life, I wonder which he regrets more: Voting to impeach Trump or voting to OK RFK Jr. Cassidy has a wonderful opportunity in the years ahead.
