Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar has hailed the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam as a pivotal step towards increasing women's involvement in legislative discussions and decision-making.

Tomar, addressing reporters in Khandwa, criticized previous political barriers that stalled the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament. However, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for pushing the bold decision forward.

The newly enacted law ensures a 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies, aiming for actualization by 2029. Tomar emphasized that such demographic and political processes should transcend partisan politics.
