Oregon Rep. Bentz prepares for reelection campaign

PENDLETON — U.S. Rep. Cliff Bentz is running for reelection in Oregon’s 2nd Congressional District, but he faces at least two challengers in the Republican primary.
Along with Bentz, Andrea Carr and Peter J Larson have filed their candidacies with the state for the election May 19, 2026.
Carr is a personal support worker and self-described progressive Republican. She’s a Klamath County resident with a post office box in Chiloquin, about 30 minutes north of Klamath Falls. Larson, meanwhile, is a La Grande resident who works in admissions at Eastern Oregon University and holds a master’s degree in teaching. He said on Facebook Bentz has been a “failure in multiple ways.”
