Wisconsin lawmakers ask President Donald Trump for disaster declaration
WISCONSIN (WEAU) - In a letter sent to President Donald Trump, Wisconsin lawmakers, including Derrick Van Orden and Tammy Baldwin, ask for Wisconsin’s request for a major disaster declaration.
According to the letter, the nine lawmakers who signed the letter say over 1,500 residential structures were damaged across 19 counties and the Oneida Nation resulting in nearly $10 million in costs. This was following several rounds of severe storms in April which resulted in widespread flooding and damage throughout the state.
