Van Orden visits McDonough Manufacturing to highlight no tax on overtime

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden is once again touting no tax on overtime and tips.

The congressman visited McDonough Manufacturing in Eau Claire alongside the U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator and the acting secretary for the U.S. Department of Labor.

Van Orden says that those tax cuts were signed into law as part of the working families tax cut and jobs act, also known as Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill.

“So, we’re incredibly proud to make sure that the people that actually make America work and America move to get funding from the federal government. That’s who we should be investing in under your leadership, your leadership, and under President Trump’s leadership, uh, we are, we’re meeting that task,” said Orden.

We reached out to both Rebecca Cooke and Emily Berge who are both looking to unseat Van Orden.

Berge sent us the following statement.
