Jeffries made the remarks during a press conference with House Democratic leaders, where the party outlined its midterm agenda. The comments came the same day the House passed a Democratic-backed war powers resolution aimed at limiting Trump's military action against Iran.
Trump was booed as he walked onto the field at MetLife Stadium after Spain's 2-0 victory over Argentina in Sunday's final. FIFA President Gianni Infantino attempted to usher Trump off the stage as Spain's players celebrated with the trophy, but Trump lingered at the edge of the celebration and performed a brief version of his signature dance in front of the players.
