The group Real Brigantine will host the city's annual Night in Venice boat parade starting at 6 p.m. Saturday along the city's back bay. The theme is "The Pirates of Brigantine," so expect lots of skull-and-crossbone flags and maybe even a couple cutlasses.

New Jersey Congressman Jeff Van Drew wants to keep the federal government from taxing Social Security payments, protect Social Security funding, and provide much-needed relief to retirees. He's introduced a bill that he said will do all that.
