As the November midterms loom, President Trump is going all in on election integrity. Not only putting the renewal of FISA’s section 702 on hold, but also refusing to sign a bipartisan housing bill until the SAVE America Act is passed. One of the most vocal proponents of that bill is House Judiciary Committee Chairman, Rep. Jim Jordan,R-Ohio, who told The National News Desk Wednesday, passing the bill is “good common sense.”

Americans should be voting in American elections. Not foreigners. We should have photo ID. We should have a citizenship requirement. That's the law frankly,”Jordan said.

Rep. Jordan said Wednesday, when it comes to election integrity, the divide in the U.S. today is between "common sense and crazy."

Every position the left now takes, and if you saw from the results yesterday, the Democrat party is getting more and more left wing. More and more quote progressive, socialist policies,” said Rep. Jordan.

Rep. Jordan was referencing the Democratic socialist candidates who won their House primary elections in New York Tuesday night. Including official DSA members Darializa Avila Chevalier and Claire Valdez, both of whom were backed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, along with progressive Brad Lander.

It is really sad, the once great party of FDR and JFK is now this Democrat socialist anti-Israel party,” Jordan said.

In addition to elections, Rep. Jordan shared an update on the investigation into Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue. Whose CEO, Regina Wallace-Jones, pleaded the fifth 22 times earlier this month after being subpoenaed to testify about the organization's alleged donor fraud and foreign contributions.

Well, the DOJ is looking at this already so that's good. We're asking for certain documents, certain communications we think we're entitled to, to do our constitutional duty of oversight and so we'll see where that goes. But we leave everything on the table when it comes to getting the truth and getting the facts,” Jordan said.

Plus, when asked what worries him the most heading into November’s consequential midterm elections, Rep. Jordan pointed to how the chain of custody and mail-in ballots work. Specifically calling out one state.

It would be nice if we just got rid of the mail in issue, except for the people who have a truly legitimate reason...overseas military folks, people overseas or can't vote on election day. Those kind of things versus the blanket kind of mail in voting California seems to have,” said Jordan said.

When it comes to election integrity, Rep, Jordan also weighed in on a federal judge, who just this week, blocked the Trump administration from using a revamped immigration database to check voter rolls. He said the move threatens the sacred integrity of elections.
