Bath City confirm four players have signed new contracts
Joe Raynes, Scott Wilson, Harvey Wiles-Richards and Matt Bowman are confirmed squad members for the new campaign.
Four more players have committed their future to Bath City for the 2026/27 season.
Joe Raynes, Scott Wilson, Harvey Wiles-Richards and Matt Bowman are confirmed squad members for the new campaign.
Alongside new signing Enzio Boldewijn, City now have nine players at their disposal.
Jordan Tillson, Will Jenkins Davies and Luke Russe’s contracts continue into 2026/27, with Dan Greenslade’s also automatically renewing to keep him at Twerton for a fifth year.
With pre-season training resuming at the end of this month, manager Scott Bartlett already has a vastly experienced squad at his disposal.
While Boldewijn is a new arrival, the other eight have 1,027 appearances between them.
Bathonian Raynes is six away from 300 in all competitions, which would make him just the 24th in the club’s history to reach that milestone from some 2,099 players that have adorned the Stripes.
Having previously been on the club’s books at academy level, he made his debut in August 2018 against Dartford and would have hit the treble century had his 2020/21 season not been wiped out following a serious ankle injury.
Raynes’ cousin Wiles-Richards struggled through a few knocks last season but is just 10 away from the century. The goalkeeper returned under Jerry Gill two years ago having replicated Raynes in previously appearing in the academy.
Wiles-Richards has kept 28 clean sheets in all competitions and was voted Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Year in 2024/25, a year before Raynes swept up the awards.
Greenslade’s Bath City career began in January 2016 on loan from Bristol Rovers.
His debut, a 2-0 defeat to Maidstone United, proved to be Lee Howells’ last home game in charge, but replacement Gary Owers kept faith with the Welshman until he returned to Rovers before the season’s conclusion.
He was re-signed by Jerry Gill in the summer of 2022 and is now up to 188 outings, with two memorable goals in 2023 against Eastbourne and Taunton.
Scott Wilson is just two appearances behind Greenslade, also spread over a couple of spells.
The striker made his debut in October 2011 as a late sub at Taunton in the Somerset Premier Cup, when City were in the Conference Premier and suffered an embarrassing defeat to a side three divisions below.
He returned on loan in February 2014 before signing permanently four years ago, soon after Greenslade.
Last season he was loaned out to Weston-super-Mare and it looked like his stay at the Romans could be up.
But he was recalled in March, just before Darren Way’s departure, and went on to become City’s all-time leading scorer in National League South, before netting his 50th league goal for the club in a win over Chesham United.
His performances have persuaded Bartlett to retain his services in Step 3.
Luke Russe and Jordan Tillson were already under contract for 2026/27 before Bartlett’s arrival. Russe has only played once under the current manager, having picked up an injury in defeat to Hemel Hempstead Town under caretaker James Moon. It kept him sidelined until the final day when he appeared as a substitute against Maidstone United.
Tillson is yet to figure under Bartlett but served as assistant manager for the final 10 games while recovering from a knee problem.
The Bath-born midfielder also won the club’s Goal of the Season award with his stunning added time strike winner at Hampton & Richmond last November.
Matt Bowman appeared as a substitute in that match in one of his first appearances.
The Swiss midfielder excelled in National League South having stepped up two divisions from Larkhall Athletic, chipping in with four goals in 27 appearances.
A student at University of Bath, the local-based player will remain at Bath City for 2026/27.
Will Jenkins Davies signed on a two-year deal under Way last year and flew out of the traps with a goal involvement in his first five games.
A knee injury sustained against Weston in November 2025, a game he scored in, ultimately wrecked his campaign. His only outing under Bartlett lasted five minutes at Torquay in April before injury struck again.
While he’s under contract for this term, it’s likely City will receive offers for the former Plymouth youngster.
The futures of Charlie Binns, Jack Batten, Ollie Tomlinson, Owen Windsor and captain Kieran Parselle are likely to be confirmed in the next week.

The FA have announced the dates for the FA Cup and Trophy rounds for 2026/27.
Bath City will enter the FA Cup in the 1st Qualifying Round for the first time since 2006.
The tie will take place on the weekend of Saturday 5 September.
It’s set to be the earliest date the Romans have played an FA Cup tie since 1978, when City won 3-0 at Glastonbury in the Preliminary Round.
In the FA Trophy, City will start two rounds earlier than normal, with all Step 3 sides beginning in the 3rd Qualifying Round.
That tie takes place the weekend of Saturday 26 September.
Barring postponements, it’ll be only the second time City have played an FA Trophy match that month. The only other occasion was a 1-0 win at Cinderford Town in the 1st Qualifying Round in 1972.
