Fetterman switching parties 'likely before the midterms': Joe Concha

“I believe that the Democratic Party is going to become more anti-Israel. As long as we continue to do that, you make that official, you make that part of our platform, that’s my red line in the Democratic Party,” Fetterman said Thursday during an interview on Capitol Hill.

Fetterman also criticized the party for supporting former Maine Senate nominee Graham Platner. Platner officially withdrew from the race on July 10 after multiple allegations of sexual assault.

“The people that push that piece of s*** Platner now just made that much more difficult at this point,” Fetterman said.

While serving in the military, Platner got a Totenkopf tattoo, which is a Nazi symbol. He claimed he had no idea of its meaning.

In an November 2025 interview with Pod Save America host Tommy Vietor, Platner said, “I am not a secret Nazi.”

“I could definitely see him [Fetterman] becoming an Independent, and yes, maybe a Republican because of this issue,” Concha said.

“He sees where this party is going in terms of the antisemitism.”
