President Donald Trump has given the Medal of Honor to three veterans, honoring acts of heroism in Vietnam and Afghanistan. Trump bestowed the military’s highest honor Thursday on Marine Corps Maj. James Capers Jr., Marine Corps Col. John W. Ripley, and Army Maj. Nicholas Dockery. It was given posthumously to Ripley, who died in 2008.
