John Joyce

John M. Shoemaker, 99, of New Enterprise, died Sunday. He was born in Woodbury, son of the late Andrew and Ina Shoemaker. John was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; and siblings: Orville (infant), Carl, Lloyd and Vera Shoemaker, Ida Cogan and Sara Reighard. Surviving are children, Larry and Joyce Shoemaker. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Woodbury Church of the Brethren; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Friday, March 6, 2026, at the church.
