Kennedy Compares Socialism's Failures To 'King Kong’s Genitalia'

Republican Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) leaned into the outrageous in a new Fox News interview, where he called the list of socialism’s failures as long as “King Kong’s genitalia.”

Known for his folksy affect, Kennedy went heavy with the hyperbole while talking to “Hannity” guest host Kellyanne Conway about the political demise of progressive Senate candidate Graham Platner and what it signaled about the overall direction of the Democratic Party.

Saying Platner was picked by the “Hamas wing of the Democratic Party,” he sarcastically asked, “Who could possibly have seen this coming? It’s not like there were signs or something.”

The Democratic candidate endured scandal upon scandal before bombshell rape allegations from an ex-girlfriend pushed him to officially drop out of Maine’s Senate race on Wednesday evening.

Democrats from The Pine Tree State looked past a sketchy Reddit history, his now-covered Nazi “totenkopf” skull tattoo, an extramarital sexting controversy and his work history with military contractor BlackRock as he won last month’s party primary with over 75% of the vote.

According to Kennedy, “Every American who was paying attention and who has an IQ above a toaster knew that this guy’s motherboard was fried ... even my colleague [Senate Minority Leader Chuck] Sen. Schumer, who can’t even cook a cheeseburger.”

Saying there was plenty of reason incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins has represented Maine “since God was a baby,” he then denounced the Democrats’ progressive flank for backing Platner.

“They stand for the same thing: Kill all the millionaires, open all the prisons, open the border, defund the police, defund ICE,” Kennedy said, wildly exaggerating even the most radical elected Democrat’s beliefs. “Every single one of them knows the words to the Cuban national anthem. They’re all neo-socialists.

“Now, unless you were playing Frisbee in the quad during history class or economics class, you know that the list of countries that has tried, that have tried socialism and rejected it is as long as King Kong’s genitalia,” he went on, rattling off a list that included Cuba, China, Vietnam and Venezuela — all nations currently led by socialist or communist governments.
