Rhode Island's senior senator spoke up following U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran. As Washington debates the situation, Sen. Jack Reed stated that Congress must have a central role as overseas tensions grow, stressing the importance of caution, accountability, and a well-defined strategy before further American participation.

Reed, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, criticized the Trump administration for insufficient communication and openness regarding the conflict.

"Americans won't support something if they have no information about the scope, the threat, the strategy, and the course," Reed said.
