GA senate race 2026 going to runoff with 1 Democrat, 2 Republicans
Georgians knew at least one thing for certain going into this Primary Election Day: U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff is the Democratic nominee. But we still don't know who the Republican nomination as no candidate reached 50%.
GA senate candidates
The first confirmed Republican candidate was Mike Collins with 40.46% of the vote with about 99% of the vote recorded. The second was a tossup, but ultimately went to Derek Dooley with 29.98%. He was followed by "Buddy" Carter with 25.37%.
When is runoff election 2026?
The runoff will take place on June 16. Early voting will be offered no later than June 8-12.
When is Election Day?
Whichever Republican wins the runoff will face Ossoff in the General Election on Nov. 3 with a Dec. 1 runoff if necessary.
