Letters: Newspaper’s love affair with Republican Senate candidate is not good journalism
You do your readers a disservice by giving disproportionate attention to U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow over her Democratic election opponent.
You gave more attention to her losing primary opponent, John Fleming, for example, than to Democratic candidate Jamie Davis, not to mention posting a huge picture of Letlow and a tiny one of Davis on election night.
You also unfairly minimized the potential draw of Davis by ignoring the fact that a Democrat won the statewide position of governor very recently, serving from 2016 to 2024, if I recall correctly.
Regardless of whom you personally prefer for the position, you owe us, your readers and those paying not-insubstantial subscription fees for journalism, better and fairer reporting.
