CNMI Republican Party Endorses King-Hinds for Reelection
SAIPAN — The CNMI Republican Party has endorsed Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds for reelection as the Commonwealth's delegate to the United States House of Representatives, citing her record on economic recovery and her work in Washington.
Patrick Cepeda, president of the CNMI Republican Party, said King-Hinds had shown she knows how to fight for the Commonwealth in a way that is serious, effective and grounded in the needs of the people. He said she had stayed focused on jobs, disaster recovery, small business, veterans, workforce stability, infrastructure and the CNMI's role in the security of the Indo-Pacific.
The party pointed to several areas where it said King-Hinds had made a measurable difference. It said she helped advance provisions opening the door for CNMI businesses to compete for military vessel repair and maintenance work, and noted her work on Coast Guard expansion studies that the party said could lead to greater maritime presence, more port activity, stronger disaster response and new economic opportunities.
