Baltimore Sun launches Front Page Authority podcast

Today marks an important milestone for The Baltimore Sun as David Smith and I officially launched the “Front Page Authority: Baltimore Sun Owners Podcast” from our new Baltimore Sun Podcast Studios in Baltimore.

We were honored to welcome Kweisi Mfume as our inaugural guest. Congressman Mfume brought decades of public service, historical perspective, and thoughtful insight to a wide-ranging discussion about Baltimore, Maryland and the issues shaping our city, our state and our nation.

As owners of The Baltimore Sun, David and I created Front Page Authority to provide substantive, civil and in-depth conversations with newsmakers, policymakers, business leaders, innovators and community members whose ideas deserve more than a few minutes of airtime.

Our goal is straightforward: to inform, challenge, and encourage meaningful dialogue while reinforcing The Baltimore Sun’s enduring commitment to journalism, public service and the free exchange of ideas.

This first episode with Congressman Mfume is just the beginning. We look forward to welcoming voices from across the political spectrum and every corner of American life as we continue building a podcast worthy of the institution and community we are privileged to serve.

The inaugural edition of Front Page Authority: The Baltimore Sun Owners Podcast featuring Congressman Kweisi Mfume will air on Thursday, July 2. We invite you to join us as we begin this new chapter of thoughtful conversations and independent journalism.
