Rep. Underwood to host town hall series, with stops in DeKalb, Joliet, Oswego, La Salle, Granville, Aurora

U.S. Rep. Lauren Underwood, D-Naperville, will host a series of town halls in July and August throughout the 14th Congressional District, with stops planned in Aurora, DeKalb, Joliet, Granville, La Salle and Oswego.

Underwood’s office said the town halls, planned for every county in her district, are an opportunity for the congresswoman to share updates on her work on behalf of her constituents, “including legislation she has passed to lower costs for families in the 14th District, and the work she is doing to hold the Trump Administration and House Republicans accountable,” according to a news release.

“We have held more than 80 town hall meetings since I came to Congress, and I look forward to our summer series every year,” Underwood said in the release. “Listening to my constituents is one of the most important parts of my job, and understanding your top priorities helps me best represent you in Washington. I hope to see you there!”

The town halls are meant to be a forum where residents of the 14th District can ask questions and share their perspectives on issues.

Exact location details haven’t yet been announced as of Thursday.
