Grammy D.C. lobbying event goes after AI
The 25th anniversary of the Recording Academy’s annual “Grammys on the Hill” event kicked off Tuesday night with an awards ceremony at The Hamilton Live in downtown DC, honoring Sen. Chris Coons and Rep. María Elvira Salazar, two proponents of the NO FAKES Act. Yesterday, a host of artists met with a handful of lawmakers for events including a roundtable focused on AI.
This year’s Recording Academy lobbying event which takes place during the WHCD week is focused on the threat posed by AI to musicians with a focus on the NO FAKES Act, the Transparency and Responsibility for Artificial Intelligence Networks (TRAIN) Act and the Copyright Labeling and Ethical AI Reporting (CLEAR) Act.
As we reported last month, WME was planning on holding its own congressional roundtable with some clients. But we hear that event got pushed to the summer.
