Cara Hancox is a multi-dimensional artist whose primary medium is acrylic, often enhanced with textural materials and found objects. During her years as an international designer, Cara absorbed a wide range of artistic influences that continue to inform her work today. Embracing mixed media, she creates paintings that range from bold abstracts and whimsical compositions to inspired landscapes. Her artistic journey has been enriched through memberships in local arts associations and exhibitions throughout the region.
Emóke Wilson says that “art has been my best friend since childhood,” and her work reflects a lifelong passion for creative expression. This exhibition showcases her talent as an innovative and accomplished mixed-media artist. Emóke’s distinctive two- and three-dimensional works are created through unconventional processes that produce truly one-of-a-kind pieces. Describing her approach, she explains, “I wait for the material to tell me what to do.” Gallery 121 is honoured to share her imaginative and captivating creations with our visitors.
