Senate GOP's Health Plan: Affordable Care Act's New Chapter?
The U.S. Senate gears up for a pivotal vote on a Republican-backed alternative aimed at expiring Affordable Care Act subsidies, according to Senate Majority Leader John Thune. The decision is scheduled for Thursday.
The proposal, introduced by Senators Bill Cassidy of Louisiana and Mike Crapo of Idaho, promises to tackle rising insurance premiums while keeping health coverage within financial reach for many Americans.
"It actually does make health insurance premiums more affordable," stated Thune, emphasizing the goal of sustaining the affordability of health insurance under the revised plan.
