Republicans to Visit White House as GOP Pushes Third Budget Bill
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), Armed Services Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), and other House Republicans will head to the White House Tuesday afternoon to discuss a path forward on a third party-line budget bill, according to a person familiar with the schedule.
The meeting is one of several Johnson and Republicans have had with White House officials to come to an agreement on a framework for a third budget reconciliation package that is expected to include a massive increase in defense spending and a crackdown on fraud.
