Nancy Mace Speaks On Lindsey Graham's Open Senate Seat
“This Is An INSANE Way To Comment On The Death Of Your Colleague”: Nancy Mace’s Post Following Lindsey Graham’s Death Is Going Viral
“Saw that coming.”
Congressperson Nancy Mace has weighed in on the death of fellow South Carolina lawmaker Lindsey Graham.
Following the news, Mace posted a clip on X of a scene from The Godfather Part III, with the famous line, "Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in..." alluding to a potential run for Graham's seat.

"Longer term, he was on the ballot this fall. You ran for governor, are you considering running for his seat, eventually?" the host asked.
"I would say right now, you know, my focus is on South Carolina. I think we're all still just sitting here stunned and shocked that this has happened, and we're mourning his loss," Mace said.
"I'm never gonna shut the door. I love the state of South Carolina," she continued. "You only live once, and you know, if the people of South Carolina would like me to serve in that capacity, I'll certainly take a look at it, but right now, I just want to focus on him and his legacy."
So far, in the comments, people are appalled at Mace's response:
"this woman is insane LMFAOOOOOO."
"This is an INSANE way to comment on the death of your colleague."
"Are the people pulling you back in in the room with you right now? You just came in fifth in the race for Governor."
"BAHAHAHAHA saw that coming."
"We’re about to witness one of the most unhinged senate campaigns of all time."
"Literally no one is pulling you back in. This post is grotesque. Taking glee over the potential of becoming a Senator because of a vacancy created by the sudden death of your colleague is vile. Completely unfit to serve."
