COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Rep. Ralph Norman announced Adam Morgan as his running mate in the governor’s race.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Ralph Norman announced Adam Morgan as his running mate on Monday.

Morgan is a former state representative and founding chairman of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus. He will join the ticket as lieutenant governor.

“Adam Morgan has spent his career fighting the career politicians in Columbia, standing up for taxpayers, taking on special interests, and refusing to back down from the woke left or tax-and-spend RINOs. Together, we’re building what may be the most conservative ticket this state has ever seen,” said Ralph Norman.

Morgan said their campaign represents a clear choice between the status quo establishment that created South Carolina’s problems and conservative change agents who will reform the system that has failed taxpayers for years.

“For too long, the same politicians have made the same promises while Columbia becomes further and further disconnected from South Carolinians,” said Morgan. “Ralph and I are offering a different path. This is the Freedom Caucus ticket, and we’re committed to returning power to We The People, holding government accountable, and fighting for the South Carolina families who have been ignored by the establishment for far too long.”

The Norman-Morgan team said they will focus on ridding state government of corruption, improving roads and infrastructure, restoring accountability in Columbia, protecting taxpayers, empowering voters in the judicial selection process and moving South Carolina in a more conservative direction.
