Man who threatened Randy Fine now faces federal charges
Guerrero argued that his threats were only intended to irritate Fine, though he admitted he went too far. The threats were made before Fine entered Congress, when he was still a state representative.
Guerrero’s team is looking to reduce the local charges, arguing that some amount to double jeopardy. A previous plea deal before the new federal charges would have had Guerrero serve just 2 1/2 years in prison, angering Fine.
Fine posted one of Guerrero’s threats on his X account, showing a picture of a bloody corpse with the caption, “This is gonna be randy very soon… see you in Florida!”
