Trump Spent $29 Million Trying To Crush a Political Enemy, and It’s Blowing Up in His Face

President Donald Trump is pouring unprecedented resources into Kentucky’s Republican primary in an attempt to take down one of the few GOP lawmakers who has repeatedly defied him in public, setting up what has become one of the most closely watched loyalty tests of Trump’s second term.

'Revealing detail' in Trump's 'breathtaking' new order flagged by former aide

President Donald Trump just reclassified thousands of government workers with the stroke of a pen that would allow him to fully politicize the federal workforce, and one of his former aides highlighted a "revealing detail" that underlines his intentions. The 79-year-old president signed an executive order on Wednesday to convert about 8,000 senior career officials into employees whom the chief executive can fire for any reason, and former Homeland Security official Miles Taylor wrote on his Defiance website about the significance of that move. Walmart Is Replacing Paper Price Tags Nationwide. Here's What Shoppers Must Know.

Walmart shoppers may soon notice something different on store shelves: the familiar paper price tags are being replaced by small digital screens. The change is already underway. Walmart says roughly 2,300 of its U.S. stores are now using digital shelf labels, and the company expects the technology to be chain-wide within the next year. That means millions of shoppers could soon see the new labels in grocery aisles, household goods, apparel, electronics and other parts of the store.

A lazy neighbor filled my rented dumpster with branches, so I dumped it.

I paid a lot of money to rent a commercial roll-off dumpster for a bathroom remodel. I came out on Sunday morning and found it completely filled with massive, heavy oak tree branches. My lazy neighbor was cleaning up his yard and told me he saw on the LocalAll app that the bin was open for community use. He filled my expensive rental so he wouldn't have to pay a disposal fee. I didn't get mad. I called the dumpster company, paid a small relocation fee, and had the truck driver lift the bin and dump all the heavy branches right back onto his clean driveway.

Jackie Kennedy Was ‘Extremely Happy’ When John F. Kennedy ‘Was Able to Spend Time’ With Their Family

After working as part of President Dwight D. Eisenhower‘s security detail, Clint Hill admitted that being assigned to protect the incoming first lady, Jacqueline Kennedy, felt like a demotion. “I wasn’t very pleased with being assigned to protect her. And she didn’t want to have anything to do with me as a Secret Service agent,” […]

Strangers invaded my private pool for a party, so I blasted freezing sprinklers.

I woke up on Saturday to loud splashing and shouting. I looked out my window and saw eight strange adults having a massive pool party in my fenced backyard. I ran outside furious. A guy held up his phone, showing me a LocalAll post made by my neighbor: "Free Open Community Spa! Walk right through the side gate!" My neighbor was using my expensive pool to look cool for his friends. I didn't yell at the trespassers. I walked into my pool house, bypassed the heater, and turned on the industrial cold water pump. Massive jets of freezing 5-degree well water blasted the crowd, sending them running into the street shivering.

If God is a God of love, why does the Old Testament look so violent?

Like many modern seekers, I spent a long time trying to edit the Old Testament. I loved the gentle whispers of the Psalms, but the violent accounts of divine judgment, the shaking mountains, and the absolute destruction of nations in books like Joshua and Isaiah terrified me.

Why did Jesus choose to wait four days just to weep at a grave?

One of the most frustrating accounts in the text is the sickness of Lazarus in John 11. When Jesus receives the urgent message that his beloved friend is dying, the scriptures record a sentence that always felt incredibly cold to me: “Yet when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was for two more days.”

What to Know About Buying Watermelons This Weekend

If you are going grocery shopping this weekend and watermelons are on your shopping list, here is what you need to know about what you might currently find. I hit three different grocery stores this morning and something stood out, the watermelons are back in a big way. Each of the stores had a sizeable watermelon display, especially Fred Meyer (Kroger), who had at least 7-8 large bins of different types of watermelons.

Why did Jesus refuse to heal a desperate mother because she wasn’t Israeli?

In Matthew 15, a Canaanite woman approaches Jesus, screaming for Him to cast a demon out of her suffering daughter. Christ’s initial response is brutally cold: He ignores her completely. When His disciples beg Him to send her away, Jesus turns to the woman and delivers a crushing theological rejection: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel... It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
