Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., demanded answers on Wednesday from contractors who worked on the botched Reflecting Pool renovation—as the Trump administration prepares to drain the algae-plagued pool again.

Garcia, in a letter to Curtis E. Wood of Atlantic Industrial Coatings LLC, which was hired to paint the reflecting pool, and John Cafaro of Green Water Solutions LLC, questioned the companies links to President Donald Trump after they were hired on no-bid contracts, MS Now reported.
The letter comes as the Trump administration has installed fencing around the Reflecting Pool in preparation to drain the landmark, which reopened less than a month ago following a renovation that is more than $10 million over its estimated budget.
