And now for 'The Real Housewives of Roger Williams Park Zoo'

Roger Williams Park Zoo created a social media campaign parodying "The Real Housewives" franchise.

The campaign teases the arrival of a new, mysterious animal from South America.

Current animal residents are humorously portrayed as jealous "housewives" in the promotional post.

First there was "The Real Housewives of Orange County. Later came the "The Real Housewives of Rhode Island," and now we have "The Real Housewives of Roger Williams Park Zoo."

Unlike the other housewives, the zoo's "housewives" don't flaunt their wealth, cake on the makeup or wear fancy clothes.

In fact, they don't wear any clothes.

But they sure can dish.

Playing off "The Real Housewives of Rhode Island" debut, Thursday, April 2, the zoo's staff had some fun hyping the pending arrival of a "cute" and "mysterious" new resident from South America.

"This week on The Real Housewives of Roger Williams Park Zoo: There's a new resident at the Zoo and the OGs are shook," the zoo's Instagram post says. "Can you guess who the new guy in town is? Stay tuned for the big reveal..."

The post features several talking zoo "housewives," including an elephant, a giraffe and a penguin, that don't seem to try too hard to hide their jealousy.

"This rainforest may be big, but there's only room enough for two icons here," says Amy the macaw.

The March 31 post received more than 1,600 likes and 56 comments.

"This ... this I would watch," wrote one commenter.

The post promises it's "to be continued..."
