South Carolina GOP rep. backs Darline Graham in upcoming Senate runoff

South Carolina GOP Rep. Russell Fry on Friday endorsed Darline Graham for U.S. Senate as the runoff election approaches.

“President Trump needs fighters and allies in the Senate who will show up every day and get results,” he wrote in a lengthy post on X. “I believe Darline Graham will be exactly that.”

Darline Graham was appointed by President Donald Trump to replace her brother, the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, after he died earlier this year.

She will face Rep. Ralph Norman in the runoff.

“Darline knows what it means to struggle, persevere, and keep fighting when life deals you a difficult hand,” Fry said. “Those experiences shaped her, and I believe they give her a real understanding of the challenges families across South Carolina face.”

Graham was also endorsed by fellow South Carolina GOP Sen. Tim Scott.

“I voted for Darline in yesterday’s primary, and I’ll vote for her again in the runoff. I’m proud to endorse Darline Graham for the U.S. Senate, and I encourage South Carolina Republicans across our state to join me in voting for her in the runoff,” Scott wrote on X.

Fry said that he believes Darline can deliver for South Carolinians.

“On August 25, I’m asking everyone who supported our campaign to join me in supporting Darline Graham for the United States Senate,” his post concluded. “Campaigns are temporary. The cause is bigger than any one candidate.”
