When politicians actually do their jobs, it’s worth acknowledging | PennLive letters
Cynicism about politics is understandable, but occasionally, an elected official does exactly what they were sent to do. U.S. Rep. Scott Perry’s vote in favor of the Working Families Tax Cuts is proof that representation still matters.
Doubling the Child Tax Credit puts real money back in the hands of parents struggling to make ends meet. Ending taxes on tips and overtime means workers finally get to hold onto more of what they’ve earned. And raising the death tax exemption means family-owned businesses and farms can remain in the family rather than be sold off to cover a tax bill.
These aren’t abstract policies. They’re direct relief for working Pennsylvanians.
Rep. Perry voted the right way, and that deserves to be said out loud.
