Susan Collins

Susan Collins currently holds one of the most powerful and influential committee chairmanships in the United States Senate. Since Maine is in the crosshairs of President Trump’s revenge campaign, Sen. Collins is advertising, as chairman of the Appropriations Committee, that she is responsible for diverting money to Maine that we otherwise would not receive.

I have heard that some Democratic voters are hesitant to vote against Collins for this very reason. If elected, how would each of the Democratic candidates, seeking to unseat Collins, ensure that Maine continues to receive this needed funding?

This is an important concern for those who want to vote to replace Collins, but are fearful of doing so.
