Sen. Susan Collins has an ad that touts the number of votes she’s made while in office — but the ad doesn’t say what those votes were for.

We know about her votes for Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch. Collins also voted “Yes” to 95% of Donald Trump’s judicial nominees in the president’s first term. In 2022, she voted against a bill intended to codify the protections of Roe v. Wade into federal law.

Collins voted to confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as secretary of health and human services, Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence and Russell Vought as director of the Office of Management and Budget, who has withheld billions of dollars in legally appropriated funds for domestic health and energy programs.

Her procedural votes advanced budget measures undermining long-term funding and solvency of both Medicare and Social Security.

Susan Collins may be proud of the 10,000 votes she’s cast, but quantity over quality is not a good bragging point. We don’t need to give her further opportunity to vote against our best interests. I am urging Maine voters to say “No” to giving Collins another term.
