Homeland Security has not fulfilled its promise to equip all officers with body cameras, despite receiving significant funding. The issue gained attention after the shooting deaths of two American citizens in Minneapolis. Former Secretary Kristi Noem announced plans to deploy cameras nationwide, but it's still not finished. DHS said about half of ICE field offices have them while Rep. Sylvia Garcia of Houston put the number at closer to 30%. She criticized the department for not having the cameras out in the field already. Homeland Security blames Democrats for delays, but Garcia calls this an excuse.
