President Donald Trump's speech in Kentucky had to come to a stop as a protester interrupted him, continuing a trend for the president's midterm blitz.
Only minutes into Trump's speech in Highland Heights, Kentucky, a protester began shouting at the president as he talked about Republican House candidate Ed Gallrein, who beat Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) in the primaries. Trump smiled and shook his head while the crowd began chanting "USA!" and booing the protester.
"Take him back home to mom," Trump said. "A Kentucky mother, she slaps the hell out of him."
Amid his campaign blitz to boost Republican candidates for the midterms, Trump has been interrupted during his speeches, even in red states like Texas, Alaska, Montana and Tennessee. During his speech in Kentucky, he ranted about how they're "paid protesters."
