Martine McCutcheon, who rocketed to stardom as Tiffany Mitchell on EastEnders in 1994, has an intriguing tidbit hidden in her past 'Martine McCutcheon' isn't the name she was born with. Originally christened 'Martine Kimberley Sherrie Ponting', the star took her first breath named after her biological parents Jenny Ponting and Thomas "Keith" Hemmings.

Post her parents' separation consequent of Keith's domestic violence accusations, Martine's mother Jenny found a new beginning with John McCutcheon, which led Martine to take on her stepfather's name. The actresss name adaptation became a topic of public discourse when she filed for insolvency at the Kingston-Upon-Thames County Court in 2013 using her maiden name, as unveiled by Credit Today.

An advocate for discussing challenging personal experiences, Martine has disclosed the domestic abuse she endured from her father, with one harrowing incident detailed to The Guardian where he threatened to hurl her off a balcony.

Following her memorable stint in EastEnders that saw her character meet a dramatic fate outside the Queen Vic in 1999, McCutcheons career didnt miss a beat, boasting roles in hits like Love Actually and The Bromley Boys, detective drama Midsomer Murders, and snagging the runner-up spot on The Masked Singer in 2021.

On a more intimate note, Martine exchanged vows with musician beau Jack McManus amidst the stunning backdrop of Lake Como in September 2012 after three years together, subsequently giving birth to their beloved son, reports the Mirror.

Martine McCutcheon recently revealed the sad news that she and her partner of 18 years, Jack McManus, are going their separate ways. In a heartfelt statement released in August, she said: "After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided it's best for us to separate after 18 years together and I accept his decision. We are both so very blessed and grateful for our beautiful, 9 year old son Rafferty, who's happiness and welfare, has always been, and will continue to be, our number 1 priority. We both of course, still cherish and look forward to being parents together to our wonderful boy for the rest of our lives... Whilst this decision has evolved over a period of time, we are still finding our new way forward as a family and kindly ask for some privacy at this time... Especially for our little boy."

She continued with affection: "Our love for Rafferty, is something that will never, waver, or change and we obviously want to protect him and help him feel as safe and secure as possible. Many thanks in advance for your respect and support, at this difficult time... And I continue to send Jack, all the love, luck and happiness for the next chapter of his."

"Rafferty and I (as always,) are rooting for you! Thank you all, for the love and support, now and always... Martine. xx."
