South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott threw his support behind fellow Sen. Darline Graham after she advanced to the Republican runoff.

“If I were going to endorse in the South Carolina GOP Senate primary, I wanted to do so with confidence,” Scott wrote in a lengthy post on X. “After watching Darline Graham in the Senate and on the campaign trail, I’m confident she’s the real deal.”

Darline Graham was appointed by President Donald Trump to replace her brother, the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, after he died earlier this year.

She will face Rep. Ralph Norman in the runoff.

“I buried my precious brother, I have taken on the role of a United States senator, and I have had this brutal campaign schedule, and I'm still standing," Darline Graham said after she advanced to the runoff Tuesday evening. “If that doesn't tell you I'm a strong person and a fighter, nothing will.”

Darline Graham’s main issues on the campaign trail were affordability and medical expenses.

“I know she is making her brother proud, but Darline has already proven to be her own person: focused on pocketbook issues, defending our South Carolina values, and delivering for the people she represents. Her priorities are our priorities,” Scott wrote on X.

He said that he voted for her in the primary.

“I voted for Darline in yesterday’s primary, and I’ll vote for her again in the runoff. I’m proud to endorse Darline Graham for the U.S. Senate, and I encourage South Carolina Republicans across our state to join me in voting for her in the runoff,” Scott’s post concluded.
