Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate announces campaign kickoff
Jeff Wadlin, a businessman and political independent, has officially announced his campaign for the United States Senate, setting the stage for a high-stakes three-way general election contest. Entering the race at a pivotal moment, Wadlin presents himself as the pragmatic, centrist solution for the 34 percent of Arkansans who identify as Independent, as well as for frustrated conservatives and disaffected Democrats.
As an Arkansas-first independent, Wadlin believes the broad middle of the country should unite around shared economic interests: lower costs, higher wages, personal liberty, fiscal responsibility, and real pathways into the middle class. His campaign is not about punishing the rich or trapping the poor in lifelong government dependence, but about restoring an affordable America where hard work still leads to a better life.
“I’m running for the U.S. Senate because Arkansas’s middle class is being squeezed while the major parties trade our economic interests for culture‑war fights that divide us,” said Jeff. “If we truly want to restore the American Dream, we need to unite around policies that lower costs, raise wages, and build ladders into the middle class, not by creating permanent dependence, but by pulling people up into stable, productive lives through pragmatic, results‑driven reforms.”
The Wadlin campaign centers on transparency and fiscal discipline intended to solve the affordability crisis created by two-party dysfunction. He will focus heavily on ending inflationary spending policies, putting a stop to needless wars, and ending tariffs that raise costs for Arkansas families, farmers, and small businesses. On health care, Wadlin believes every family should be able to get affordable coverage, and Washington must finally bring costs down. He also believes that adults should be free to live as they please and raise their children according to their own values without federal interference.
By securing the Libertarian nomination, Wadlin has achieved automatic ballot access in Arkansas, bypassing the signature-gathering requirements for unaffiliated candidates. This positions him as the sole third-party challenger with the structural support to compete against the established fundraising machines of the major parties. Wadlin brings a unique perspective to the race, combining real-world business experience with a personal commitment to building a better future for his children and for all families across Arkansas.
As the campaign progresses toward the general election on November 3, 2026, Wadlin will embark on a statewide tour to engage with voters in every corner of Arkansas. He invites all citizens who are tired of the status quo to join a movement focused on principled leadership and the preservation of the American Dream.
