A stranger put a seashell on my porch in Ohio and when I held it to my ear, I heard our closed factory floor loud and running
Yesterday, there was a seashell on my porch rail, pink-lipped and pearly as a secret. We don’t live near water. The nearest ocean is a long day’s drive and two gas station coffees away. I picked it up, nostalgic as an old jukebox, and lifted it out of habit to my ear.
My neighbor took a sledgehammer to my disabled father's $6,000 wheelchair ramp.
I paid $6,000 to install a heavy-duty aluminum wheelchair ramp for my disabled veteran father. I heard loud metallic crashing outside. My neighbor was aggressively swinging a heavy steel sledgehammer, smashing the aluminum handrails and buckling the expensive ramp! "You are destroying my father's ramp!" I screamed, horrified. "This metal monstrosity crosses one inch over my property line," she sneered, swinging again. "It’s an illegal structure. Your dad can just stay inside or go to a nursing home. I have a right to my property borders." She was destroying a veteran's mobility over one inch! I used the LocalAll app to summon an emergency police dispatch. Destroying a medical mobility device is a hate crime enhancement in my state. She was dragged away in handcuffs, screaming about her property line.
