Greenville businessman David Atchley ran on a platform of putting the needs of the Upstate over national partisan politics.
Robert E. Lee, who works as an engineer, touted himself as the most ideologically pure "America First" candidate.
Just before midnight, Timmons had opened up a commanding lead.
State election officials posted 47,865 votes for Timmons with all precincts reporting.
Atchley was a distant second with 14,178 votes. Lee had 10,657 votes.
In a social media post, Timmons described the results as a "mandate."
He said, "It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve the Upstate and fight for the people of South Carolina's 4th District."
Timmons was endorsed by President Donald Trump and made his support for Trump the centerpiece of his campaign.
Timmons was first elected to Congress in 2018. He said he will not seek reelection in 2028.
South Carolina 3rd Congressional District Democratic primary
It was one of two contested congressional races in the Upstate.
In the state's 3rd Congressional District, Eunice Lehmacher defeated Ernest Mackins, 16,715 votes to 14,591, late on June 9 in the Democratic primary.
Lehmacher will take on incumbent Republican Sheri Biggs in November.
