Buttigieg says Arkansas voters can send message about Trump by flipping GOP-held House seat

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Friday Arkansas voters can issue a rebuke to President Donald Trump by flipping a Republican-held House seat.

Buttigieg spoke to a packed Dreamland Ballroom in downtown Little Rock alongside Democratic congressional hopeful Chris Jones, who is trying to unseat Republican Rep. French Hill in central Arkansas’ 2nd Congressional District.

“All of the attention focuses on one elected official,” Buttigieg said, referring to the president. “The reality is all of that stuff he’s getting away with would not happen if it were not for enablers in Congress who allow it.”

Buttigieg said even though Trump isn’t on the ballot, “think of the message you can send” by voting out Hill.
