Candidates line up to challenge Paul Gosar and seek Mohave County seats in 2026 elections
U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar is expected to face competition, as he plans his 2026 re-election campaign. And that’s only one race that’s been announced, as candidates file by the dozen to represent Mohave County’s interests next year.
The primary elections are about six months away, with candidates still filing with the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office, as well as with county recorders’ offices throughout the state. So far, two Democrats and two Republicans (including Gosar) are planning to run for Congress in Arizona’s 9th Congressional District - which spans west from the Phoenix suburb of Goodyear to Western Arizona.
