This November's race in the 22nd Congressional District amounts to a new ballgame for both Democrats and Republicans here in the heart of California.
Recently carved up by the state Democratic majority, the swing 22nd District includes portions of Fresno, Kings, Tulare, Kern and Madera counties. The newly drawn district is more Democratic with 42% of registered voters, versus 26% GOP voters eligible to vote this fall.
That compares with 2024 when the Dems had 40.8% of registered voters …
