2026 Election Results: In CA-37, D-Sydney Kamlager-Dove and Baltazar Fedalizo are leading in the primary race
Democratic Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, in office since 2023, maintained a commanding, double-digit lead in a nine-candidate primary race to represent California’s 37th Congressional District when partial results from the Los Angeles County registrar’s office were released Wednesday afternoon.
Kamlager-Dove is facing challenges from four fellow Democrats: Ryan Duckett, an attorney; Elizabeth Fenner, a library technician; Todd Lombardo, a small business owner; and Samantha Mota, a community advocate who has served on the Santa Monica Public Safety and Reform Oversight Commission.
Other candidates include Republican entrepreneur and lobbyist Baltazar Fedalizo and social justice advocate John Thompson Parker, a Peace and Freedom Party member. In addition, retired peace officer Steve Hill and Metro train mechanic Juan Rey are running as no party preference candidates.
