Incumbent Derek Tran (D) and Chuong Vo (R) are running in the general election for California's 45th Congressional District on November 3, 2026.

The election is taking place in the context of redistricting that changed the boundaries of the 45th District from those used in the 2024 election. Inside Elections' Nathaniel Rakich said, "[The district] adds a few more Democratic areas of Los Angeles County to go from D+1 to D+5, although it should remain competitive; the Republican candidates for attorney general, controller, and treasurer in 2022 all would have carried the new version of this seat."

In the top-two primary, Tran received 52.5% of the vote and Vo and four other Republicans received a combined 47.5%. As of August 2026, major election forecasters rated the general election Likely Democratic, Lean Democratic, or Tilt Democratic.
