2026 Election Results: In CA-49, D-Mike Levin takes lead over 2 challengers
In California’s 49th Congressional District, the latest returns from Tuesday night show Rep. Mike Levin leading a three-candidate field.
Levin, who has served in Congress since 2019, faces Republicans Armen Kurdian, a retired Navy captain, and Star Parker, a conservative columnist, in the primary election. Results so far show Kurdian ahead of Parker.
Levin has worked as an attorney who specialized in energy and environmental law. In Congress, he currently sits on the Appropriations Committee.
Late Tuesday night, Levin thanked his supporters and said he believes he will be in “a great position to run against whoever emerges as our opponent.”
He said he is proud of his accomplishments since being elected in 2018, which he said include passing 35 bipartisan laws that have expanded veterans’ benefits, increased community investments, and made healthcare more affordable.
